Clear your schedules and bring your students! Bring friends and family! Don’t miss Denver’s foremost winter symposium, an educational and cultural event for campus and community.
This eclectic festival will offer inspiration, enrichment, and entertainment for all levels and ages:
- Guest artists including young virtuoso JOEL FAN, praised for his recent recital album World Keys, which reached #3 on Billboard’s Classical Chart, the NYAHO/GARCIA Duo and brilliant pianist HSING-AY HSU will offer composers of African, Hispanic and Asian heritages
- Due to overwhelming response - charismatic SHEILA PAIGE returns to share her unique approaches to musical wellness & technique in two workshops!
- Two jam-packed days will feature World Music topics with Metro piano faculty and guest presenters, in workshops, concerts and master classes
- Celebrate the inaugural year of three brand-new STEINWAY grand pianos!
- Composer tributes (Bicentennial of Mendelssohn’s birthday & Haydn’s death)
Music for Two Pianists based on:
- Dancing, performing of improvisational Latin rhythms & influences
- African Drumming (February is Black History Month!)
- Gamelan music from Indonesia
Master class & performing opportunities for teachers and students!
- Saturday morning competition to participate in afternoon World Music master class with Joel Fan!
Souvenirs - bake sales - shopping among vendors in the exhibit hall during breaks,
lunch hour, and evening meet-n-greet post-concert receptions.
